Matthew Heimbach Discusses ‘White Student Union’ With Hostile Black Panel On Huffington Post

The student behind a controversial White Student Union at Towson University claims that the group is necessary to fight “inherent anti-white bias in academia and mainstream society.”

The group, started by Towson senior Matthew Heimbach, has sparked a debate about the balance between students’ First Amendment rights and clamping down on what many have condemned as racism at the Maryland University.

Heimbach is described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a “white nationalist” who has argued black hate crimes against whites exponentially outnumber white-on-black hate crimes.

Southern Poverty Law Center's Lecia BrooksThe panel who spoke with Heimbach included the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Lecia Brooks (Photo, click to enlarge…); Harvard student Julian Lewis; journalist and advocate for “racial realism,” Jared Taylor; and Lehigh University Professor James Peterson.

Heimbach argues that “every single other ethnic group has an advocacy group for themselves. We have a black student union, a Hispanic student union, an Asian student union (don’t forget two Jewish student unions). We have groups for every other group of people except for white students. So if white students are allowed to come together and advocate for our own best interests simply would bring us into the realm that every single other group is allowed.”

Brooks put forward an opposing point of view: “The differences between a white student union or a white group … you see it as you want to defend what you think you are losing. Whereas people of color or other marginalized groups organize around a common interest.” She also said that both Taylor and Heimbach were advocates of white supremacy and white separatism. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) of Montgomery, Alabama admitted that it does not monitor “the extreme Left” although for years the organization has billed itself as a watchdog of “hate groups.” Examples include gangs (Crips, Bloods, etc.), the Cleveland “bridge bombers” associated with the Occupy Movement, and other extreme left-wing groups.

Bill Ayers, who freely brags about his bombings and other violent and illegal acts, is praised by the Southern Poverty Tolerance Taliban on their “Tolerance” website (An Unconditional Embrace). The federal government filed charges against Mr. Ayers for his participation in the bombings of New York City Police Department headquarters in 1970, the United States Capitol building in 1971, and the Pentagon in 1972, as he noted in his 2001 book, Fugitive Days. The SPLC seems to have a fetish for bombmakers! -Editor

The SPLC’s Lecia Brooks brought Jared Taylor to task for his writings but stayed mum on SPLC’s praise of the left-wing terrorist/socialist William Ayers.

[Couldn't the Huffington Post find a White person to participate on this panel? In what must be a first, the SPLC sent an African American to confront Matthew Heimbach. Mark Potok was unavailable.]

Honestly, it is much better to confront an all black opposition then the controlled white faces like the SPLC usally has as speakers. It brings forth the reality of who benefits from the anti-white hate in more ways then a white opposition can.

These blacks sound like hypocrites when we realize that there are black student unions in every school, even black teacher unions for the black teachers, black police unions, black firefighter unions, black churches, black journalist unions. etc. I mean these blacks are racist. When you start questioning whether a race has a right to even organize, your only a hop away from questioning whether that race has a right to exist.

Four against two and look at the emotions from everyone as a whole. Absolute loud and obnoxious resistance from the three black gentlemen and asinine rhetoric from Lecia Brooks. If Mrs. Brooks believe in identity development, that is great, however, for her to question the promotion of Taylor and Heimbach's "kind of ideas" is a blatant resistance to what few white people even try to embrace and secure. Zionists and capitalists run U.S. interests and this country. A foreign movement is already leeching billions of dollars from this country and here we are arguing over the mere right to organize in the hope to spread awareness and pride. If the group turns violent, then and only then should the University deny official group status. The simple fact that so much resistance exists shows that we need more white unity. Diversity theory in schools has divided and weakened whites for too long.

Matthew did a very good job dealing with this hostile panel. He certainly held his own.
