Ukrainians Around World Commemorate Holodomor Victims on its 85th Anniversary

Today Ukrainians around the world commemorate victims of an artificial famine of 1932-1933 known as the Holodomor, the result of Soviet dictator Josef Stalin’s order to force peasant households into collective farms.

The exact number of Ukrainians who perished during the Holodomor genocide is unknown but scholars say at least 3.9 million people were starved to death in Ukraine as the Soviet government seized their property and crops, closed off the borders and denied any outside aid.

Besides Ukraine, millions of people in other agricultural regions of the Soviet Union were subjected to collectivization and starvation. Of all ethnic groups, Kazakhstan saw the highest death ratio: an estimated 38 percent of the ethnic Kazakh population died during the 1931-1933 famine, according to a Harvard University study published in 2001.

Deal With Mexico Would Make Asylum Seekers Wait Outside U.S. Border

The Trump administration has won the support of Mexico’s incoming government for a plan to remake U.S. border policy by requiring asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their claims move through U.S. courts, according to Mexican officials and senior members of president-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s transition team.

The agreement would break with long-standing asylum rules and place a formidable new barrier in the path of Central American migrants attempting to reach the United States and escape poverty and violence. By reaching the accord, the Trump administration has also overcome Mexico’s historic reticence to deepen cooperation with the United States on an issue widely seen here as America’s problem.

Explosive Footage of How Israel Partisans Buy U.S. Elections

Clips from the suppressed Al Jazeera documentary about the Israel lobby in the US, additional footage of Congress people, both Democrats and Republicans, revealing how the lobby pressures candidates to do Israel’s bidding, information about a secret fundraiser for powerful Congress people, and how lobby officials bend the law… and sometimes, it appears, break it.

How to Vanquish Antifa’s Continuing Threat

Opinion by The Washington Times:

On a Saturday morning last month, two dozen masked, black-clad individuals gathered outside the entrance to Boeing’s Museum of Flight in Seattle. Their target was a 28-year-old mechanic at Boeing’s Auburn plant named Nicholas Boling. The communist agitators unfurled a 12-foot banner with Mr. Boling’s name and picture accompanied by the words, “A VIOLENT MISOGYNIST WORKS AT BOEING.”

In the weeks leading up, Antifa groups operating in the Pacific Northwest flooded Boeing’s human resources department with scripted phone calls claiming Mr. Boling was a member of a “hate group” and had assaulted a bartender (Mr. Boling denies both of these accusations). Threatening text messages from anonymous numbers inundated his phone. Parts of Seattle became papered in flyers with his photo, claiming he was a “Nazi.” Then there was the murder attempt, when someone poked holes in the brake lines of his truck and it nearly crashed.

Violence Breaks Out at Tijuana Border as Migrant Caravan Arrives

Hundreds of people who arrived in Tijuana with the first wave of the migrant caravan planned to spend Wednesday night in a makeshift camp by the Pacific Ocean, steps from the tall border fence that separates Mexico and the United States. But those plans shifted in the evening, after local and state officials opened a temporary shelter – and about 300 local residents gathered by the encampment to demand the migrants leave the upscale Playas de Tijuana neighborhood and go to the facility.

During a confrontation that lasted more than three hours, area residents sang the Mexican national anthem and waved Mexican flags. They chanted “Mexico! Mexico!” each time a bus transporting migrants left the beach for the temporary shelter. Mostly women and children went to the shelters, while young men from the caravan said they were determined to stay together at the beach and await the estimated 2,000 more caravan members on their way to Tijuana.

Male Teacher In Trouble for Refusing to Watch Transgender Girl Undress in Boys Locker Room

A male physical education teacher has been told he could be fired after refusing to monitor boys showers in which a biological female could be present. That’s according to a leading legal group that specializes in cases of constitutional violation.

When a biological girl at Chasco Middle School in Port Richey, Fla. decided to self-identify as a male, she was granted immediate access to the boys’ locker room and bathrooms. In addition, according to a letter sent by Liberty Counsel, the boys nor their parents were given any forewarning of this decision.

AFP Participates in 2018 Midterm Elections

AFP leaders and rank-and-file members volunteered for several congressional-level campaigns throughout the country for the 2018 midterms.

Our leadership decided that it was important to continue the pro-Trump movement by working on behalf of Republican candidates, especially in the northeastern and West Coast states.

Party members were active in various campaign activities that included well-attended rallies, phone banking, literature distribution and sign placement.

Republican candidates enjoyed widespread support and enthusiasm from white voters, unlike in prior election years where the differences between the two-party candidates were marginal at best.

AFP anticipates fielding local level candidates for office in the 2019 election cycle, including targeted county and municipal seats.

The Southern Poverty Libel Center

Scott has been all over the fact that the “respected” Southern Poverty Law Center (which seems to have little to do with either poverty or law) ought to be understood as a hate group, and finally someone in the mainstream media is having second thoughts about whether the SPLC deserves the high regard it receives. The Washington Post Magazine this weekend offers a long feature article by David Montgomery entitled “The State of Hate: Researchers at the Southern Poverty Law Center have set themselves up as the ultimate judges of hate in America. But are they judging fairly?”

The article is very long, and extremely wishy-washy on the subject of extremism and the SPLC’s handling of various conservative groups, but in the context of the mainstream media it might be read as a mild probation for the SPLC. Since the Post has a robust paywall, here are a few key excerpts:

President Trump Moves to Restrict Asylum Access at Southern Border

On Thursday, President Trump moved to restrict asylum claims at the southern border as the migrant caravans of mainly military-aged Central American males marches through Mexico to the United States.

The Department of Justice announced the move to restrict asylum Thursday afternoon.

How Third Parties Got Screwed This Election Season

Republicans and Democrats may genuinely hate each other, but they love their own power even more. That’s why they collude so often to keep those pesky Libertarians, Greens, and independents away from the lucrative levers of government.

The 2018 midterms have been chock full of two-party shenanigans, all too often aided and abetted by journalists, pollsters, and the voters themselves.

It all starts with ballot access. If a state government considers you a “major party,” getting on the ballot is a snap. Worst-case scenario, you need to collect signatures from a tiny fraction of your own registered voter base. Best case, you just show up.
