Energy & Food Crisis: Made in Washington

Dr. A. H. Krieg | “The most common lies are those by which politicians deceive the public; other dishonesty of the public is rare.”

Energy and FoodLet us outline some observations. 1. There is no energy crisis. 2. Global warming (cooling) is the product of the sun and not of man. 3. Most of our present problems are attributable to the environmental movement. 4. Ethanol as a fuel for vehicles is stupid. 5. If we should ever run out of oil we have enough anthracite coal for the next six centuries. 6. North America has the largest oil & natural gas reserve deposits in the world. 7. The wars and all the afore listed problems are interrelated and have nothing to do with energy or food and everything to do with political control and power. 8. Food price increases are in large part due to the production of ethanol.

Let us clarify that last sentence. It is our opinion as well as those of many scientists, geologists, climateologists and engineers that all of the presently touted energy related problems are a fabrication of the “Republocrat System”, for the sole purpose of achieving control of society. Those in the environmental movement are the dupes of these elitists and unknowingly carry out their agenda. We do not make this claim lightly and will in due course provide ample evidence of this position.

1) There is no energy crisis, it is a fabrication produced in the political capitols of the world and its main sources are Washington and Brussels. The principal protagonists of this fiction are the well meaning but un-informed members of the environmental movement and the political party known as the Republocrats and Eurocrarts, and politicians who either curry votes of the greens or pander to them, and politicians that are members of the elites. Shocking as this statement is, it is our opinion and is correct.

A primary premise of the supporters of the cause of energy related problems is that energy in the form of fossil fuels is a finite commodity and that we are on the verge of running out of oil, coal and natural gas. (Fossil fuels). First and foremost the reader must understand that oil and natural gas are only a part of the fossil fuels with which God has endowed our planet. The by far larger deposits of fossil fuel is coal and of coal the most useful is anthracite, coal that can be liquefied to produce natural gas as well as all petroleum based products we presently produce from oil. The technology to do this is about 90 years old having been developed by the Germans in the 1920’s. Sasol is a South African company traded on the NY stock exchange that operates a substantial number of coal liquidation plants in South Africa. Please do Goggle Sasol. While America has the world’s largest proven reserves of anthracite, (over 600 years at present consumption rate), South Africa has the second largest deposits. Coal liquidation is much less expensive than purchasing oil from OPEC nations.

Overall oil and natural gas deposits in the Beaufort Sea principally in the region of Gull Island and extending about 40 miles from it on what is commonly called the Alaskan North Slope combined with the Kuparuck fields covering an area of about 30 x 60 square miles is larger than the combined oil reserves of Iraq and Saudi Arabia combined. Gull Island that is located about 5 nautical miles from Prudhoe Bay could produce so much oil that the Alaska pipeline would have to be expanded five fold. Wellhead pressure on the surface is 90 pounds; the oil does not even have to be pumped. The same holds true for the Kuparuck field.

The Gull island fields have not produced one single dry well in an arc stretching 40 miles out from the island. All the chemistry is identical so it is one single pool of oil under 90 pounds per square inch of pressure extending 40 miles out into the Beaufort Sea. Just one capped well came in at 30,000 barrels per day through a 3 ½” pipe. For size the operating Prudhoe Bay field is presently pumping two million barrels a day Gull island could dwarf that and potential output and the Kuparuck field is fifty times larger. What is even more interesting is that the sulfur content of this oil is very low a chemical analysis indicate 0.90% Sulfur, wax content 6% Asphalt content 2% pour point –15 deg. F.

The Bakken field is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska’s Prudhoe Bay, it is estimated at 503 billion barrels. (U.S. Geological Survey report) The technical name is the Williston Basin and it stretches from Northern Montana through North Dakota and into Canada. Furthermore it is what is technically called light sweet oil, whose production cost is only $16. per barrel. That by itself is sufficient oil for American consumption through 2041 if production had begun in 2006. Placing this into perspective just this field has eight times more than Saudi Arabia, 18 times more that Iraq, and 21 times more than Kuwait.

To place this into historic perspective we need to go back to the 1973 oil embargo and the consequential energy shortages that ensued during the Tricky Dick Nixon administration. The fact is, that historically the entire episode was man made and Nixon was right in the middle of it all. As the shortage expanded Maine governor Kenneth M. Curtis accused Nixon of purposely fabricating the shortages. Then in the same year the Philadelphia Inquirer in a lengthy article proved that Exxon, Mobile, Texaco, Gulf, and Standard oil of California were exporting two barrels of oil at higher price for every one they sold domestically. Lloyds of London is a principal insurer of tankers. According to their records the number of tankers departing the Middle East for Europe (1973) and America was slightly larger during the shortage than four months before. The rise in tanker departures rose from 474 to 492.

In 1977 the total North American oil reserve deposits in ground were expanded by about 88% and roughly three quarters of these were drilled, however those in North America have in large part been capped because they are owned by one of the previously named “Seven Sisters” which earns greater profit on imported crude and refined product than that on that produced in America. Then in ‘77 Carter created the Department of Energy enacted in 1980. (Just as the shortages became pronounced) DOE has had some successes as they expanded the energy shortage and lengthened it in duration, and then they created the draconian nuclear energy fiasco that dismantled our only nuclear fuel reprocessing plant, that Carter shut down, selling it in parts to BNFL in the UK and made the construction of nuclear electric generating plants impossible because of costs related to by over-regulation. Since the creation of the Department of Energy (1980) American oil production has fallen from about 27% of domestic consumption to about 14%. When Carter established the DOE he stated that he DOE would reverse the trend of imported oil and make America energy independent. It is doing the exact opposite!

Reliable but unnamed sources (from ARCO) in 1975 as reported by former Secretary of Sate of Colorado Hough Chase claimed that the government allowed only one field out of three to be drilled in Alaska and that there was sufficient supply in the Beaufort Sea to meet America’s oil needs for the next 200 years, without pumping, because in ground pressure was sufficient to meet the output. Furthermore according to this source market expansion was figured in. Drilled wells in all three fields indicate three separate deposits confirmed by differing chemical analysis of all wells drilled in each of the fields. All wells, (about 40 of them) were required to be capped by the government. The North Slope oil fields consist of an area of over 50,000 Square miles. ARCO, Chaplin, Lindsey Williams made a second corroboration of this when he stated,” There will never be an energy crisis because we have as much oil as does Saudi Arabia.” Williams was Chaplin for the thousands of pipeline workers and roughnecks who were employed in Alaska during the exploration and pipeline construction.

Shortly after discovery of these oil deposits the government ordered all geological reports locked up and all wells capped on Gull Island and its surrounding fields as well as the thirty by sixty mile Kuparuck field. The reported reason by Washington was that environmentalist claimed that any possible spill would cause an environmental catastrophe. This is akin to not scrambling eggs because you might miss the bowl with the yoke after you broke the shell.

The Hudson Institute (look up on internet) stated in 1977 that Carter was wrong in saying” we stand no chance of becoming energy independent”. Available information on energy based on scientifically peer-reviewed information reveals the following (this was in ’77) Continental (48 state) in ground deposits 150 billion barrels, the ’77 API report stated an estimated 303.5 billion barrels, “68 Geological survey Atlantic ocean continental shelf 224 billion barrels, Pacific coast 275 billion barrels, Alaska 502 billion barrels, for a total of 1,576 billion barrels in ground. And all this was before the Bakken discovery. The government in its infinite wisdom has seen to it that only 2% of the proven reserves have been licensed. These deposits are enough oil at present national growth rate (19 million barrel a day consumption USA) to see to our total needs for the next 200 years, In a 1972 report the Wall Street Journal stated that we have enough natural gas deposits for the next 1,000 years. Total in ground deposits in the Continental (lower 48 states) and continental shelves are estimated at 758 trillion cubic feet. This does not include Alaska. In a book of the Hudson Institute by Herman Kahn we learn that of the fossil fuels (oil, coal, natural gas, coal shale, and tar sand) we could easily supply the entire world with fossil fuels for the next several hundred years.

The once seven sisters are now consolidated into the five sisters, which are Exxon, Chevron-Texaco, BP, Shell and Conoco-Philips. Just imagine how simple it is for a consortium of five companies in collusion with the government to control all of our energy needs. Bear in mind that these companies also control the mining of most uranium, coal, oil as well as natural gas. Remember that the government either controls all known deposits of any size while the sisters have the rest locked up for the next 100-years in land mineral leases. These companies have two policies, 1) optimize profit in the short term, and 2) optimize in ground deposits for maximum long gevity and profit. It goes without saying that all steps are taken to ensure fossil fuel dependence permanently. And just to ensure that they have also locked up North American uranium, and all coal deposits.

All three leading presidential candidates for 2012 have incoherent energy policies none of the 2012 candidates of either party have articulated any energy policies and are unaware of the realities existing in this sector of the economy. The Obama administration into its last year has not produced any viable energy policy at all except to provide Brazil’s Petrobras two billion credit for deep-water oil production off the Brazilian coast and shutting down America’s Gulf deep-water production and financing Columbian oil refining plants.

At least to McCain’s credit he had proposes an expansion of nuclear generation. Obama on the other hand comes up with silly environmental wind generation and solar electric algae fuel production that could not under any circumstances produce more than 10% of our energy needs within the next 20 years. Such PC crap and that is exactly what it is, wastes our time and resources.

2) The world’s major problems are attributable to false environmental actions taken by society due to misinformation published by environmental organizations and the propagation of this misinformation by the media and energy producers that gain profit through it. These include among others that, global warming is due to man, (Climate change?) Freon caused the Ozone hole, CO2 is harmful to the planet, Cutting fire breaks is somehow harmful to animals, pipelines impede migratory species, nuclear energy production is dangerous, governments should be the stewards of land, and burning wood is better than splitting atoms. (Clamshell Alliance)

In December of 2007 over 100 world scientists sent a poignant letter to the Secretary of the UN Mr. Ban Ki-Moon. I want to emphasize that these were not the frequently by the media quoted members of the Union of Concerned Scientists that require such stringent qualifications for association that several dogs and cats have attained membership. No, these are real professors, PhD’s, lecturers and doctors. Among the writers were; Dr. Antonio Zichichi President of the World Federation of Scientists, Dr. Reid Byson the father of modern meteorology, Dr. Syun-Ichi Akasofu of the international Arctic Research Center, twice named one of the worlds most cited scientists, Dr. Richard Lindzen UN IPCC scientist, among others. The most remarkable thing about the list is that it contains almost no Americans; most of our so-called scientists are cowards in opposing the PC political/environmental movement.

The letter in stark terms warns against the existing “movement of “futile” climate control efforts”. Among other things it clearly states “ Significant new peer-reviewed research has cast even more doubt on the hypothesis of dangerous human caused global warming”. The fact of the matter is that today most atmospheric scientists, geologists, and climateologists agree that man’s input or ability to alter global climatic conditions are limited to the point of being useless.

The IPCC is the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; it is the major producer of data relating to climate. Unfortunately their reports circulate among politicians and non-scientists who frequently draw incorrect conclusions about the issue. Furthermore these reports are prepared by a small number of politically active core writers who are subject to tremendous pressure from PC academia as well as environmental activists. Their conclusions are for the most part outcome based driven and never peer reviewed thereby making them worthless. The vast majority of thousands of qualified scientists, climateologists, geologists, and atmospheric specialist are never consulted about the conclusions reached by the IPCC. Summaries of issues presented by the IPCC do not therefore represent any consensus view of scientists in fields related to global warming. The IPCC is a politically motivated organization whose conclusions can be proven wrong with ease.

When former VP Ozone (I invented the Internet) Al Gore whose academic record is not particularly impressive and whose environmental credentials are most suspect when his lifestyle and personal energy consumption record is accessed, and then makes wild statements, which are unproven and in many cases totally wrong becomes the spokesperson for a cause, we become wary. Our disdain for Gore goes all the way back to his ghost written book Earth in the Balance, which had over 50 scientific errors in the first twenty pages. Michael More the progressive socialist Democrat from the left coast who is the darling of the environmentalist movement can realistically be classified as uneducated lout.

From the letter to the UN Secretary General;

*Recent observations of phenomenon such as glacial retreats, seal-level rise and the migration of temperature-sensitive species are not evidence for abnormal climate change, for none of these changes has been shown to lie outside the bounds of known natural variability.

*The average rate of warming of 0.1 to 0.2 degrees Celsius per decade recorded by satellites during the late 20th century falls within known natural rates of warming and cooling over the last 10,000 years.

*Leading scientists, including some senior IPCC representatives, acknowledge that today’s computer models cannot predict climate. Consistent with this, and despite computer projections of temperature rises, there has been no net global warming since 1998. That current temperature plateau follows a late 20th-century period of warming is consistent with the continuation today of natural multi-decade or millennial climate cycling.

The entire environmental movement is strongly connected with socialist political elements that have outcome based plans and are utilizing this issue as a vehicle to achieve their desired socialist goals. The fact that the political left i.e. the socialists is the closest ally of the environmental movement is a proven fact. In Germany per example where this issue has gained primary national prominence the Greens (Die Gruenen) and the gays (Die Bunten) Buentniss 90 (The old Communist Green party of the DDR) and the German Socialists formed a union and controlled the government for over a decade. The basic goal of the socialists is to gain political power over property and land, by being elected to govern, the basic goal of the environmental movement is to gain political control over society so that they can implement their control over private as well as government land, property and business, and that is a clear explanation of socialism as well as communism.
All running candidates for the office of president support the basic issues relating to global warming, none have any reasonable education in the connecting sciences, all are supporters of Cultural Marxism i.e. politically correctness and none has demonstrated the nerve or inclination to challenge environmentalist dogma.

3) The environmental movement, which is socialist in function as well as action, is without question responsible for a substantial part of our 21st century problems. Most well-intentioned members of organizations like the Sierra Club, Global Green, and Green Peace and others do not in reality understand the underlying issues and blindly support those organizations based on their desire to improve the general environment. This is not an indictment of these well meaning individuals their intentions are correct but they have been led astray.

Let’s examine some issues. You will recall the horrendous losses of the Pacific Northwest lumber industry based on environmental complaints that a particular species of Owl was endangered to become extinct based on the premise that these owls would only nest in old trees of the Pacific NW. This environmentally concocted BS story was widely accepted by the media which then distributed it extensively, the Spotted Owl had to be saved, and to accomplish that scores of saw mills, thousands of jobs, and several towns were all made redundant. Firstly the very concept that an owl cares about the age of a tree is moronic. Secondly six years later half a dozen pairs of Spotted Owls were found to be nesting in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park in everything from bridge abutments to remnants of the 1930’s world fair. The damage was done the lumber industry of the Pacific Northwest is still trying to recuperate.
In about 1965 some British scientists determined that the ozone layer over the South Polar Region was thinner than the rest. Then in the late 80’s NASA, which was at the time seeking funds for a new budget, invented the phrase “Ozone Hole”, which is a fabrication. Ozone Al Gore grabbed it and ran with it! There is no hole; the ozone layer is thinner at the Polar Regions during polar winters. Ozone is the product of the combining of three oxygen molecules into one ozone molecule. It is one of the lightest gases of our atmosphere. Ozone is created in only two ways, by the action of lighting, which does not occur during polar winters in the Polar Regions, and by solar radiation, which cannot occur in the dark.. Since there is no sunlight in the Polar Regions during the darkness (winter) of the polar winters and since there is no lighting no ozone is produced, thus the ozone layer over that region of the planet thins, only to increase in size when the summer comes. At some point Du Pont developed a product called Freon, which is a chlorofluorocarbon, and hydrochloroflurocarbon, which were used as a replacement for refrigerants previously used that, were poisonous. Du Pont patented Freon and Du Pont and its licensees became the only source of Freon in the world. When these patents were about to run out a story miraculously appeared that Freon was destroying the ozone layer and had to be replaced. Conveniently with a new Du Pont patented product. The only problem with this scenario is that Freon is one of the heaviest gases, immediately after release going to ground while ozone in one of the lightest, immediately after releaser rising. This fairy tale has cost society billions upon billions of dollars and the environmentalists and media are the sole parties responsible for those costs.
Southern California has always had severe fire problems particularly during the time that Santa Anna winds blow up from the south, in order to prevent damage the counties as well as the state of California, when I lived there in the 60’s the state cut frequent fire breaks in the grasslands and brush so as to enable the local fire departments to control brush and forest fires. Beginning in the late 70’s and early 80’s the environmental movement convinced the counties and state to stop cutting fire brakes due to the endangered kangaroo rat. How a kangaroo rat even determined that a firebreak was detrimental to his environment none ever explained. The net result of these actions was the destruction of thousands of homes and the loss of billions in loses due to uncontrollable fires that rampaged throughout Southern California.
Before we continue I want the reader to clearly understand that we are environmentalists, but ones who bases their convictions and actions on science not on PC crap coming out of politicians and unschooled environmentalist mouths.
The most practical means for man to produce electric energy in the 21st century is with nuclear electric generation. It is basically clean; it produces little or no CO2. It is cheap unless over-regulated. Today we have third generation reactors that are totally safe but not one has been built in North America, these create the smallest environmental impact. Since the occurrence at Pittsburgh’s Three Mile Island where a reactor core failed, and which by the way did not hurt one single blade of grass, the environmentalists have been on a relentless crusade against the nuclear industry. Typified was the Clam Shell Alliance produced bumper sticker, “Burn Wood not Atoms”. The incredible stupidity of that short statement in our mind has always typified the entire environmental movement that we have always considered to be related to the 19th century Malthusians and the 20th century Club of Rome, neither of which have ever made a prediction that came true. In the nuclear case the environmentalists took a new and differing tack, they, instead of attacking the industry, directly pressured the Department of Energy and Nuclear Regulation Commission (NRC) to so regulate the construction of generating stations as to make their building financially impossible. This reached the point where permits based on submitted design were issued and after construction began were rescinded and replaced with new and different regulations and parameters. Over half a dozen plants were terminated in mid construction due to this. I do want to impress on the reader that Chernobyl the worst nuclear accident in history could not take place in any American generating plant because we do not build graphite reactors and we do not build reactors without containment structures, only the Soviets (socialists) did that. The Japanese catastrophe could have been avoided had the operator paid heed to the engineering study produced 20 years ago (40 years after construction) that recommended the construction of concrete containment vessels over each reactor. The producer fired the engineering company and buried the reports. Those reactors operating today that do not have concert cupolas were built over 40 years and designed in the late 40’s. Once again the environmental movement is having second thoughts on this issue as they also did in the previous cases. V. J. Krieg used to say that the most dangerous people in America were the thousands of uneducated Do-Gooders.
It is always wise to look behind the scenes of any political or social movements. There after all is an agenda, a plan and a desired outcome. In the case of this environmental movement the agenda as well as the outcome are hidden from the general membership. We have a recommendation for you, because if we provide the answer you will not believe us. All environmental movements are tax-exempt; it is relatively simple to obtain a copy of their annual IRS filings, when you have your copy be certain to look at the total income and make a comparison of income vs. expenditures, and when you’ve completed then look up the pay of the officers and directors and their perks, you will be amazed. The agenda is control of land and property by a socialist state, and the outcome is communal control of society, family and community.

4) Of all the ideas and actions of man of the last 200 years the dumbest is without question the production of ethanol as a additive or replacement fuel for fossil fuel vehicles.

In 2007 America consumed 138 million tons of corn to produce ethanol. This was accomplished through the massive subsidy of fertilizers, farm fuel, farm subsidies, transport subsidies, and distillery subsidies. It is common knowledge that the entire production chain from seed stock to the end ethanol product is in one way or another subsidized by your tax dollars. Since farm acreage that was previously used to grow food for humans and animals as well as grain for export, which has now been reduced, we are developing international food shortages, higher trade deficits and massive price increases in all food stock. Utilization of ethanol distillation as animal feed stock eases this problem only slightly.
Anyone who does not reside in the hallowed halls of congress or academia, or in the executive and has to actually go to the supermarkets to shop for food does not need to be told of the horrendous price increases in our foods. Wheat has doubled and along with that pasta and bread, eggs are up 17%, tomatoes have doubled, beef, pork, poultry, everything has gone up because corn is the primary feedstock for farm animals.
The situation has reached the point where food riots that is the vestige of long ago have become commonplace in some parts of the world. Rice, which has also doubled, is the first grain to be rationed in America since WWII. Costco and Sam’s Club both are as of May of 2008 restricting purchses to only single bags. While there are other causes ethanol is certainly the major reason for this.
Ethanol is singularly poor for a fuel for numerous reasons. Firstly it is not as combustible as gasoline and is therefore about 30% less effective as a fuel for motor vehicles than gasoline. This results in lower gas mileage when used alone or if used as a mixture with gasoline. Secondly being alcohol based it attacks rubber one of the principal raw materials of engine components, seals, gaskets, and hosing on autos and trucks. This results in higher maintenance costs and lower lifespan. Thirdly while it is domestically produced, once all the subsidies are added in it is actually more expensive to produce or use than imported fossil fuel, and due to production methods produces more pollution than refined oil.
The commonly asked question is if all that is true why are we using this stuff? The answer to that is simply, Agribusiness is one of America’s largest industries. It is also the most government-subsidized industry in America. Also understand that none of these subsidies go to family farms, this is strictly a big-agri-business industry. I know, I farmed for 14 years and could never get any subsidy, or help from the Department of Agriculture, or any government benefit for that matter. One of my neighbors farmed 1,700 acres another had a 300-cow dairy farm they also got peanuts. But there are a whole host of senators, congressmen, and TV personalities who are reaping millions in farm subsidies even though they probably can’t tell a cow’s ass from her head. All the rest of the subsidies go to agri-business, which are farms owned by stockholders consisting of 5 to 10 thousand acres.
One more point. Fuel consumption by automobiles is not any straightforward simple matter. In a test done in the UK (BBC Top Gear) a Toyota Prius (darling car of the uninformed) was put on a racetrack. The car was fueled and the driver was told to go around the track as fast as he could for one hour. A V-8 Supercharged Jaguar was also fueled and told to follow the Prius, The results: The Prius got 17.4 miles per gallon and the Jaguar got 19.7 miles per gallon.

5) Coal liquefaction is the process of converting anthracite coal into various liquid as well as gaseous forms of fossil fuel; in fact most carbon based items used by man. The Germans during WWI and WWII developed the process in the 1900’s. It was perfected during WWII and used extensively by the Germans to produce all petroleum-based and many carbon-based by-products from the early 30’s to 1946.

The world’s largest remaining coal liquidation operation is the remnant of the white South African government in RSA. When in a fit of political correctness the UN under American and British leadership brought sanctions against South Africa for their racial separation policies the South Africans located some German engineers and built their Sasol plants. Today Sasol is the world’s largest coal liquefaction and gasification operator, employing over 30,000 people. With profitable revenues producing sales of $4.153 billions. Sasol utilizes the Fisher-Tropsch process that was used by the Germans.

With the newer developed Sequestration process it is now possible to at some added expense produce oil, gasoline, diesel and propane products from coal without excessive CO2 emissions. What however is much more notable is that production costs of liquefied coal can be carried out at a break-even cost of $47. Per barrel, which equates to 0.85.5 Cents per gallon of gasoline. China has a small plant operational that is producing fuel at $35 per barrel of gasoline.

Now, we have some very serious questions. Why are we importing oil at costs that exceed our ability to produce the very same product at less than half the cost? Why is our government actively perusing the production of ethanol at a cost of over three times that of coal liquefaction? Exactly what are the people at our Department of Energy doing in implementing policies that are destructive of our economy and world food supplies? Why is congress not acting on this matter and why is the executive pushing ethanol production?

Why is America spending billions of dollars on “Green Energy” projects, into which Dr. Chu head of the Department of Energy has so far spent $6.7 billion financing green energy projects all of which have gone belly up, and continues to spend more. To paraphrase Einstein, “the definition of an idiot is a person who does the same failed thing over and over again in hopes of attaining a different result”.

6) As listed in this article the United States when all in ground oil reserves are tabulated has more oil than the entire Middle East.

7) The Wars. No discussion of any matter relating to our economy in 2011 or the issues of discussion is possible today without Considering The Wars, which we are involved in obviously not for our national interests. Like 9-11 all we can come up with is more questions than answers.

To recap briefly, the war against Iraq both the first George Bush and then his son and then by Obama were implemented based on lies, misinformation, and fabrications primarily produced by the Mossad. Issues of the phony Yellow Cake purchase by Iraq from Niger with documentation produced in Jerusalem and transmitted via the Italian and the British MI-5 to the CIA were part of this charade. All of the allegations made by Secretary of State Colin Powel at the UN General Assembly proved later to have been fabricated by the NSA, CIA and the Mossad. Both wars were constitutionally illegal, pointless and not to American but to Israeli advantage. This is no different than the passed fabrication of a nuclear reactor by Syria in the middle of a desert, without any security, with no available water for cooling, without any air defense, and without a containment structure. I hold several patents in the field and have supplied machinery to almost all North American reactors and know this industry. The new war begun by Obama is just more of the same. Libya has the highest per capita income in Africa, the highest private home ownership, the highest car ownership, free healthcare and free education, but does not want to be paid in paper dollars for its oil—thus war.
The situation in Afghanistan, which seems to be deteriorating daily, is not much different. Considering the fact that the Taliban (imaginary enemy) had eliminated heroin production in which Afghanistan was the world leader makes me think of some ulterior motives. This is especially the case because under our installed CIA puppet president, (the procurator of Kabul) heroin production in Afghanistan has once again propelled them into number one producer in the world.
The fact that the American installed leadership in both Iraq as well as Afghanistan does not have the support of the indigenous population and both are CIA procurators is common knowledge. As is the realization that in both nations as well a Libya we are confronted by civil wars in which we as well as NATO have no business to be.
The Al-Quaeda construct that has now been openly confronted on BBC as being an invention of the CIA is in many respects comical. Consider the accusing of our government that a bunch of Islamic clerics that have the science education of a sixth grader, located in caves in Peshawar and parts of Afghanistan, organized the most complicated international act of terrorism in world history, employing over 100 individuals. The CIA claimed that instructions were sent via Cell-phones, there was no cell phone towers in that region of the world, and I know I was there. It is no different than the claimed 9-11 hijacked airliner that crashed in PA in which we were told that Cell calls from passengers were made to relatives, when it was later proven that at the time it was impossible to cell call out of an airliner at that time. Then came the ludicrous story that between two and three men wielding box cutters dominated between 60 and 130 people on single aircrafts is idiotic. We have all been assumed to be fools by the people who have propagated these lies.

8) The food crisis, which is the rapid expansion of the cost of food, is directly linked to the production of ethanol by harvesting of corn. The fact that ethanol production can only be sustained with massive government subsidies is well known. From planting seed to distillation every single process including distribution and even fuels used by ferments is subsidized by taxes. The actual cost of ethanol makes it non-performing in economic terms. Like “Bird Swatters”, (Air Turbines) and “Crop Covers” (solar panels) it is and attempt at non-scientific solution that cannot and will-not work. In order to run a city the size of LA the entire state of Nevada would have to be covered with solar panels and every ridge with wind turbines, and then an energy storage plant encompassing 20 square miles would be required to maintain constant service.

In view of the aforementioned information let us now consider our present and planned national energy policy. At present America does not have a coherent energy production policy of any kind. Our government’s policy under Bush was plain and simple the enrichment of Bush’s buddies and companies in which members of the administration hold shares, much has changed with Obama. Now we have a national policy to destroy fossil fuel as an energy source and replace it with bird swatters and crop covers which today produce less than 3% of our consumed annual energy needs.
Statements by the presidential front-runners all of which lack any reasonable understanding of the issue have made several proposals. Proposals to suspend the federal excise tax on fuel for the summer months. What a great idea, Let’s see, the federal government deficit spends through free trade and borrows money by selling T-bills to China, then we take the borrowed money and purchase oil from Venezuela, Nigeria and the Middle East keeping 18.4 cents per gallon as taxes. States and counties then compound the problem by adding on average another 0.27 cents in taxes on an imported commodity that has already been taxed to death. This as columnist Thomas Freedman stated is not an energy policy it is a money-laundering scheme. At least Barack Obama has the good sense not to endorse stupidity, but has unfortunately not articulated any reasonable policy of his own. One would think that at least congress would have produced some sort of national policy for taxation, or spending. Far from it. In fact congress has done nothing except to let tax credits for solar and wind produced energy die, while at the same time keeping all benefits for fossil fuel. Neither Congress nor the Executive has done anything to streamline DOE or the Nuclear Energy Commission. . Not only has there been no policy there are no plans for any policy.
What should we do as a national energy policy? In philosophic terms we should encourage energy savings through rational user policies. These would include, taxing the hell out of gas-guzzlers, granting personal tax write offs for energy saving devices installed in homes. Allowing an instant tax rebate for all motor vehicles whose energy consumption is less than 30 mpg. Require all electronic manufacturers to have their devices disconnect from the power net 15 minutes after the device is turned off. Offer tax credits for all home and business appliances that are below average in energy consumption. Allow tax credits for all passive solar energy saving means. Allow a 100% write off of any installed geothermal air conditioning and heating systems and provide tax write-offs for solar and wind produced electricity to homeowners. .
In production we should force the DOE to produce policy that will once again foster the construction of nuclear electric energy plants. Force the environmentalists and Nevada residents to accept the nuclear waste depository at Yucca Mountain. Eliminate immediately all government subsidies to ethanol production. We should offer tax exception for ten years to anyone building and producing coal liquefaction production plants utilizing clean conversion technologies. We should offer tax credits for solar as well as wind electric energy production. Eliminate all tax write offs for the petrochemical industry over the next ten years at a rate of 10% per year. Offer American automotive producers a tax break for all energy saving car and truck model’s whose energy consumption is below half of the average consumption rate as of 2009. And lastly demand that the three huge oil fields in Alaska are accessed only for American domestic consumption and refining and build at least five new refineries.

Proposed A3P Position Paper on Energy
Prepared by A. H. Krieg

Energy & Food Crisis
Made in Washington

“The most common lies are those by which politicians deceive the public; other dishonesty of the public is rare.”

Let us outline some observations. 1) There is no energy crisis. 2) Global warming (cooling) is the product of the sun and not of man. 3) Most of our present problems are attributable to the environmental movement. 4) Ethanol as a fuel for vehicles is stupid. 5) If we should ever run out of oil we have enough anthracite coal for the next six centuries. 6) North America has the largest oil & natural gas reserve deposits in the world. 7) The wars and all the afore listed problems are interrelated and have nothing to do with energy or food and everything to do with political control and power. 8) Food price increases are in large part due to the production of ethanol.

From the letter to the UN Secretary General;

As Einstein said, “the definition of an idiot is a person who does the same failed thing over and over again in hopes of attaining a different result”.

ACORN’s Project Vote, the Department of Justice, & Massive Voter Fraud

by Tom Fitton | With the 2012 elections just months away, the ACORN-connected group Project Vote (and Obama campaign ally) is redoubling its efforts to undermine the integrity of the 2012 elections – and they are evidently doing it with the participation of the Obama White House and the Department of Justice (DOJ).

In January, Judicial Watch obtained additional documents about meetings held between Estelle Rogers, Director of Advocacy for the ACORN organization Project Vote, and officials from the Obama White House and the DOJ.

Judicial Watch is investigating the extent to which Project Vote, which once employed Barack Obama, has been working with the Obama administration to use voter registration laws to register greater numbers of low-income voters, widely considered to be an important voting demographic for the Obama presidential campaign.

Judicial Watch was already well aware that the DOJ was heavily involved in this scheme based on documents previously obtained, but the latest batch of records implicates the Obama White House directly!

According to the records, obtained by Judicial Watch in response to a FOIA lawsuit filed on August 19, 2011:

  • On April 27, 2009, Estelle Rogers wrote to Deputy Assistant Attorney General Sam Hirsh regarding an upcoming meeting on April 30, 2009. In addition to Rogers and Hirsh, other attendees included: Nicole Kovite, Director of Public Agency Project for Project Vote; Spencer Overton, Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Legal Policy; and two officials from the Obama White House: Celia Muñoz, then-Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and recently promoted to Director of the Domestic Policy Council; and Tino Cuellar, Special Assistant to the President for Justice and Regulatory Policy. (Muñoz, you will recall, is the former senior vice-president of the National Council of La Raza who has been funneling tax dollars to radical Mexican separatists ever since she joined the Obama White House.)In her email, Rogers referenced documents she forwarded in preparation for the upcoming meeting on the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), to which Hirsch replies that he looked forward to “reading these materials” and to “seeing everyone on Thursday.”
  • Estelle RogersOn February 23, 2011, Rogers wrote to Associate Deputy Attorney General Robert Weiner, asking him to “make some headway with Attorney General [Eric] Holder in enforcing Section 7 of the NVRA.” The email notes that the DOJ had not yet filed any Section 7 lawsuits, which Rogers dubbed “deeply disappointing.” The first such DOJ lawsuit (against Rhode Island) was filed on March 18, 2011, less than one month later. Of particular note, is Rogers’ comment that “We have received oral assurances from [Assistant Attorney General Thomas] Perez on several occasions that enforcement action was imminent,” suggesting that Rogers was privy to internal discussions inside the DOJ regarding pending legal action.
  • On March 29, 2011, Rogers wrote to Associate Attorney General [Thomas] Perrelli, urging him to review and “make improvements” to a document she was sending following another meeting held on March 17, 2011, between Project Vote and the DOJ on Section 7 compliance with the NRVA. Accompanying the document was a previous letter she had sent to the Civil Rights Division plus “additional comments on the Q and A.”

These documents raise fundamental questions about the politicization of the DOJ under Eric Holder and demonstrate that the ACORN-connected Project Vote is throwing its weight around the DOJ and driving the agency’s voting rights agenda.

And, evidently the Obama White House is now directly implicated in this growing scandal. It is now clear that Project Vote and the Obama/Holder DOJ are conspiring to file DOJ lawsuits to help re-elect Barack Obama. This collusion between Project Vote and the Obama administration is a significant threat to the integrity of the 2012 elections.

To have Project Vote involved in DOJ voting rights enforcement is like having the Mafia run the FBI! And Estelle Rogers is one of Project Vote’s key “bosses.”

As Director of Advocacy for Project Vote, Estelle Rogers ? a former attorney for ACORN, which was besieged with charges of corruption before declaring bankruptcy in November 2010 ? is a primary contact person on policy matters at Project Vote at both the state and federal levels and has been actively involved in voter registration issues. Using the threat of a lawsuit under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), Project Vote has aggressively sought to manipulate voter registration laws in various states in an effort to increase the registration of people receiving public assistance.

On August 4, 2011, Judicial Watch released documents obtained from the Colorado Department of State showing that ACORN and Project Vote successfully pressured Colorado officials into implementing new policies for increasing the registration of public assistance recipients during the 2008 and 2010 election seasons. Following the policy changes, the percentage of invalid voter registration forms from Colorado public assistance agencies was four times the national average. Project Vote also sought a “legislative fix” to allow people without a driver’s license or state identification to register to vote online.

In addition to pursuing public agency registration cases in Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Georgia and New Mexico, Project Vote and the NAACP filed a lawsuit on April 19, 2011, against the State of Louisiana alleging violations of the NVRA. Less than three months later, on July 12, the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division/Voting Section sued Louisiana on the same grounds, claiming that “Louisiana officials have not routinely offered voter registration forms, assistance and services to the state’s eligible citizens who apply, recertify or provide a change address for public assistance or disability services.”

The DOJ’s March 11, 2011, lawsuit against Rhode Island led to policy changes intended to increase the number of voter registration applications processed by “public assistance and disability service officers.” These two lawsuits, filed within five months of each other, are the first such lawsuits filed by the DOJ since 2007.

Project Vote and ACORN have both been linked to massive voter registration fraud. A total of 70 ACORN employees in 12 states have been convicted of voter registration fraud. And as documented in a July 2009 report by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, of the 1.3 million registrations Project Vote/ACORN submitted in the 2008 election cycle, more than one-third were invalid. (And don’t believe the line that ACORN is dead. As we documented in our special report “The Rebranding of ACORN,” the corrupt organization is alive and well and ready to wreak havoc in the 2012 elections.)

A storm is fast approaching in 2012. The integrity of our elections is under attack by ACORN and Project Vote. And it now appears that the Obama administration is complicit in a plot by these community organizations to steal the elections. Trust Judicial Watch to do what it can to uphold the rule of law against this very real challenge to our election system.

A New Call of the Wild: The American Third Position Party

Tomislav Sunic | The following is an English translation of an article published in the French magazine RIVAROL (published by Jérôme Bourbon) on the A3P and it’s presidential candidates.

In the hustle and bustle of the various right wing currents in America, it is fascinating to observe the recent birth of the American Third Position Party (A3P), a new political party dedicated to the preservation of European cultural and ethnic heritage. The A3P has recently launched a political and cultural program that could make lots of waves at the upcoming presidential elections in America. The silent majority of American citizens is fed up; it is tired of the two-party system of ‘banksters’, who have ruined the country, and of the destructive ideology of multiculturalism. Everyone wants something new.

The A3P offers a patriotic alternative to the two parties, which seem to have — like the banking subprimes — mortgaged the future of America. Over the last past forty years, American politics has been shaped by the plutocratic system and by the two almost identical political machines, under the guise of the Republican Party and the Democrat party respectively. It is always the Same and its Double poorly mimicked — if we are allowed to borrow some words from Jean Baudrillard. Both seem to be united in their ruthless dogma of the “third excluded” as well as in the defamation of those who reject the media swamp of “political correctness.”

Merlin MillerThe A3P has chosen for its presidential candidate Mr. Merlin Miller, a graduate of West Point, a U.S. Army veteran and accomplished filmmaker. His vice presidential candidate is Dr. Virginia Deane Abernethy, a renowned anthropologist, a professor emeritus at Vanderbilt University. The A3P is the only political party that represents Americans of European descent and it also strongly opposes the notion of the American Empire. On the Board of A3P directors there are also some heavyweights, such as Mr. Don Wassall, editor in chief of The Nationalist Times, Mr. William Johnson, a well known Los Angeles lawyer, Professor Kevin McDonald, a great American sociobiologist, Mr. James Kelso, an activist well known in nationalist circles, and Dr. Adrian Krieg, a writer and scientist. No other party in the American political landscape can boast such a number of scholars of the highest order.

The A3P rejects the current discourse of the American political class whose double talk resembles the Soviet-inspired locutions such as “ethnic awareness training”, “politically correct”, “hate speech”, “positive discrimination”, “diversity is our greatest strength”, etc. This can be best observed daily on all wavelengths when one listens to this kind of “newspeak”, which during this last half a century has transformed the political process and the media into high commissions of political correctness, and whose aim is the criminalization of the legacy of the White Americans. Americans are being duped and deceived by the power and by the media in the same way of the old Sovietized and communized masses in the former Eastern Europe. At least the old communist nomenklatura knew it lived an historical lie. By contrast, the current American elites think very seriously that they live the historical truth that needs now to be exported by force to all corners of the world.

America today resembles more and more Third World countries, with 30 percent of its citizens being of non-European origin. White Americans are in the process of becoming a suspicious minority, ridiculed and increasingly discriminated against by the political-media apparatus. Without some political action, as framed by the A3P, White Americans may soon become a minority, isolated in their tiny ‘camps of the saints,’ which in their turn will perish in the process of self-flagellation and self-hatred.

The A3P positions itself against the current U.S. policy that excludes white middle class Americans. As a new political party, the A3P is well aware that it represents the American heartland.

Through the manipulation of the masses and by means of decerebration the “Republocrats” have managed to keep themselves forever in power. They have managed to “divide and conquer” the ranks and files of the traditionalist Right, while spreading in the media the picture of a variety of phantasmagoric nationalist splinter groups, or by projecting a false caricature of any Right. Over the past fifty years this tactic of defamation of all patriotic parties has greatly affected the awakening of national sentiments. Hence, the only Right that enjoys the rights of passage in the classy mundane world is embodied by the American neoconservatives, whose myths revolve around the Sacred — named Israel. The current presidential system, compared to all previous regimes, has ruined the ideals and institutions of the founding fathers of America. If such policies continue Americans of European descent are slated to become a minority in their own country — within a few decades ..

Call of the WildThe spirit of the people depends on those who compose it. In the same vein a state is the product of his people who compose it. If the European population in America is to be replaced by another non-European population, the character of the country will change inevitably. The A3P believes that the times have come for a political party that could vigorously defend the interests of white Americans. Every nation has the right to maintain and safeguard the identity on which it is based. And this is precisely the advantage of A3P, namely in being able to make the right choice of the candidates who are morally, ethically and intellectually above those supported by the Democrats or the Republicans. The A3P proposes a moratorium on immigration and the immediate expulsion of illegal immigrants. Of course, similar plans were promulgated by President Roosevelt during the Great Depression (1930) and by President Eisenhower in the 1950s – but they were short-lived. They failed — due to the pressure from special interest groups, namely the financial capital and the rising tide of egalitarian ideologies. In addition, the A3P emphasizes “fair trade” and says no to “free trade”; yes to private enterprise, but always serving the common good. The A3P also wishes to be the custodian of the good environmental policies and energy resources, while promoting the “America First” in foreign policy, which means, of course, the cessation of military interventions and economic aid to foreign countries.

Today’s America has become a highly balkanized system that functions more and more like the old Soviet system where elementary forms of ‘survivalism ‘ of each ethnic group may trigger latent interracial wars. The A3P is well aware that stormy weather is lurking on the horizon and that it therefore needs to distinguish between the true enemy and its true friend. Where there is a will there is always a way!

State of the Union Address 2012: The A3P Response

Dr. A. H. Krieg | General Comments, to Mr. Axelrod’s: prepared speech: Great delivery, little substance, a great deal of misinformation.

“Where’s the beef?” is our first observation. We heard 65 minutes of spend, spend and spend some more and zero minutes of cuts in government spending. For over 100 years this government has operated outside the confines of our constitution and from all indications by Obama this is to be prolonged this year and into the foreseeable future of his presidency. One observation made by one of our members is that “Obama believes that we the people work for the government not the government for the people”. This is more than verified by the fact that under this administrations government employees are paid on average double the national income average. It was also clearly articulated that Americans are much too stupid to decide on their own what they need or want and that only government is able to make such monumentally complex decisions. Pandering to the DNC stepdaughter the NEA and AFT teachers unions was a repetitive theme. We did not hear about our national debt that is projected with last month’s furtherance to exceed $17 trillion by 2013. With all that spending we also heard tax and tax and spend and spend. An observation by another member of our board was that “you can’t raise yourself by the handle on a bucket while standing in it”, something this president most obviously does not understand. Paying our fair share was a repeated issue, the fact that the top 5% of American earners pay more in taxes that the entire middle class, and that the bottom 50% pay no taxes at all seems not to enter the convoluted Obama equation. The concept that more government spending of borrowed money will improve American middle class economic position is simply ludicrous.

Who is responsible for this situation we find ourselves in? According to the president, congress, Republicans, rich people, business, corporations, greedy Americans, in fact anyone and every one but Mr. President. The fact that Harry Reid and the Obama progressives have bottled up 30 bills from the House in the Senate for many months, addressing those very issues, which is the reality of the situation, was also omitted.

Frankly we find the president out of touch with economic reality and the Republicans not far behind. This speech verified that unlike Clinton’s speech some years ago, we are to enter the era of big and ever-expanding goverment. Indeed of his claimed 3 million new jobs, one million was government employees and two were immigrants. On taxes, we are to play some more with the existing code maybe adding a few thousand more pages to the 27 volumes instead of scrapping the entire mess and replacing it with a flat tax. This you see has nothing to do with the fairness he speaks of; it has a great deal to do with centralization of power in Washington. We will say that Mitch Daniels (R, IN) less than 15 minute speech was clearer better and more to the point. Obama demonstrated above all that he is a TR, Wilson, FDR, LBJ, and Carter progressive, unable to see the deleterious effects those men had on our economy and social structure.

Specific Issues:

He did not address or even skirt about the fact that America is in dire difficulty. He did not speak of the 25 million Americans seeking employment or the 25% of young Americans that can’t find jobs, or the highest unemployment level since 1933. He quoted bogus administration unemployment statistics that don’t count 70% of those unemployed.

On taxes he said the rich don’t pay their fair share, well in reality the highest 1% of American earners pay 37% of Americas collected taxes. He offered no solution to our tax problems and did not address the issue except to indicate we needed to modify the existing code. This has been done for almost 100 years and accomplished nothing. He did not mention that 47 million Americans are on food Stamps, and that half of our citizens pay no taxes whatsoever. In his class warfare, a repetitive theme one can only conclude that we all get the shaft one way or another. If real American values were the actual issues we would have a flat tax and then all Americans would pay an equal share in support of our goverment. “We must increase federal and state taxes to fund schools; universities and colleges” academia must be supported for their unending support of everything progressive.

Regulations are to be expanded; he articulated that under his administration many odious rules and laws had been eliminated, the facts clearly contradict that assertion. Jan 2012 saw the enactment of 40,000 new laws and 14,700 new goverment federal regulations. If that’s a cut…well.

He said he had cut the deficit. Only using Disney World on the Potomac accounting practices is it possible to say that. The actual fact is that for 2011 and projected 2012 not one single dime has been cut from any expenditure.

He told us about GM; well you know Government Motors the company that he had signed over to the UAW in which the government is still the major stockholder and who has paid back less than 2% of the monies loaned through TARP. The government cannot sell the GM held shares they would lose billions. Chrysler that is now owned at least in part by Fiat of Italy, the UAW and you guessed it, the government. Just by the way, the touted sales increases are not year over year but month over month. A realistic comparison would be, what did the American auto industry sell in 1998 and then compare that with today. Sales are down!

Trade. He told us that South Koreans would soon be driving American cars due to the latest free trade agreement with s. Korea, Columbia and Panama. This assertion is far beyond ridiculous. NAFTA over ten years changed our American balance of trade from an annual $5.7 billion surplus to a $64 billion deficit, lost us 10,000,000 manufacturing jobs and over 4,000 manufacturing plants. Clinton by the way in 2003 asserted that Mexicans would be driving Chevies by 2005, We wonder how many GM is selling in Mexico?

On immigration we again heard the odious cry for Amnesty that the DNC has been pushing for decades, hoping against hope to entice all Hispanics into the DNC.

On Energy in which this administration has not shown any leadership at all save the off shoring of virtually everything, we were again informed that green energy was the way to go. Dr. Chu the head of the Department of Energy has wasted $ 6.7 billion on loans to companies that have failed. We were informed that there are ups and downs in this new sector and they would continue throwing American taxpayers monies at more failures. The Keystone pipeline never made it into Mr. Axelrod’s speech. The assertion that we have a larger supply of domestic oil is a lie; the reason the numbers have changed is because of the depression, which has reduced energy consumption across the board. Wind and solar energy, which accounts for less than 3% of the national supply is a loser without government subsidies. In fact that entire energy sector does not demonstrate one single green energy effort that is financially self-sustaining and that includes electric cars. Climate change by the way is just more Green rubbish. We were informed that the Navy is to fund some bird swatter technology so DOD money is now also to be diverted to this losing green proposition.

On infrastructure the long lost socialist memory of FDR’s New Deal, made a miraculous re-emergence with a new spending program based on assumed savings of troops returning home and dividing the savings ½ for infrastructure and ½ in debt reduction. More make believe!

The pie in the sky spending binge is to continue unabatedly. All underwater mortgages are to get a $3,000 cut in their annual mortgage payments the assumed payees will be the fools that actually are paying their mortgages.

Regulations especially in the petrochemical sector and banking will see dramatic increases. Yes we understand, EPA, FCC, FDA, and all the other regulatory agencies that have so stifled American free enterprise in the immediate past will mandate everything that will not make muster in congress or in legislation, or cannot be implemented through the judiciary.

We will again increase the time for unemployment insurance, which is already up to three years, and we will extend the payroll deduction tax reduction, and we will not fund this from any identifiable source.

We will increase taxes on the rich by requiring every rich person to pay at least 30% of his income regardless of origin in federal taxes. This will not even pay for the payroll tax deduction. Someone in DC needs to buy Mr. Axelrod a cheap calculator. “We will consolidate many federal agencies which will save lots of money”, surely just like Homeland security saved a lot of money.

Finally, in the Middle East we will love Israel, we will continue to give one of the highest per capital income nations foreign aid, we will continue to fund the IDF, we will give them anything they want anytime, and we will have joint military exercise with the nations that sponsors more spying operations against us than any other ten nations combined.

And we will finance all the aforementioned issues by borrowing more money from anyone who will loan it to us (not many left) and hock our children’s lives!

State of the Union Address 2012: The A3P ResponseProlific author and historian, Dr. Adrian H. Krieg, CMFGE, SME certified manufacturing engineer, has written numerous engineering books as well as over 100 technical articles. Dr. Krieg is a columnist and a contributing writer in numerous magazines and newspapers in America and Europe.

Born in St. Gallen, Switzerland, in 1938, one of his most famous books, “The Satori and the New Mandarins” (now out of print), was written after Dr. Krieg had obtained a contract from an American manufacturers organization to do an expose of the environmental movement. Dr. Krieg began researching the book in 1996 and Hallberg published it in 1998 at 342 pages. It was the first book since the 1920s to expose The Order, also called Bones, “The Order of Death,” and “322?. It is an organization, according to Krieg, which George Bush Sr., George W. Bush and John Kerry belong. The book sold well, and the print run was sold out in 2000. Dr. Krieg’s latest book is called “Rendezvous with the New World Order”

What Is Proportional Representation?

Alex Carmichael | Proportional Representation (PR) is the voting systems used to elect a legislature at any level of government, such as a state assembly or town council. PR means that the number of seats won by a party or group of candidates is proportionate to the number of votes received. For example, under a PR voting system if 30% of voters support a particular party then roughly 30% of seats will be won by that party. PR is an alternative to voting systems based on single member districts like the U.S. congressional elections. PR systems tend to produce a proliferation of political parties, while single member districts encourage a two-party system. America’s non-PR system produces disproportionate outcomes and creates extreme bias in favor of the Democrats and Republicans.

PROPORTIONAL REPRESENTATION IN DETAIL

There are many different forms of proportional representation. The degree of proportionality varies; it is determined by factors such as the precise formula used to allocate seats, the number of seats in each constituency or in the elected body as a whole, and the level of any minimum threshold for election. The majority of debate about voting systems is about whether to move to more proportionality because the Democrats and Republicans in US elections can, and most often do, win formal control of legislatures with support from as little as 20-25% of eligible voters, at the cost of smaller parties.

Proportional RepresentationThe single non-transferable vote (STV) is a voting system designed to achieve proportional representation through preferential voting which does not depend on political parties. Voters rank candidates in order of preference. Under STV, an elector’s vote is initially allocated to his or her most preferred candidate, and then, after candidates have been either elected or eliminated, any surplus or unused votes are transferred according to the voter’s stated preferences. The system minimizes “wasted” votes, provides approximately proportional representation, and enables votes to be explicitly cast for individual candidates rather than for closed party lists. By example, elections for the Australian Senate use what is referred to as above-the-line voting where candidates for each party are grouped on the ballot, allowing the voter to vote for the group or for a candidate. It is most the commonly used PR system in English speaking world (Britain, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand). City elections in Cambridge, Massachusetts and in Minneapolis, Minnesota recently used PR.

Under PR, each constituency elects two or more representatives per electorate. Consequently the constituency is equivalent in size to the sum of single member constituencies that would produce the same number of representatives. Parties tend to offer as many candidates as they optimistically could expect to win: major parties nominate more than minor parties. Voters rank some or all candidates in order of their choice. A successful candidate must achieve a quota, which is “calculated by dividing the Total Valid Poll by one more than the number of seats to be filled, ignoring any remainder and then adding 1 vote.”
Only in a few cases is this achieved at the first count. For the second count, if a candidate wins election her/his surplus vote (in excess of the quota) is transferred to the voters’ second choices; otherwise, the least popular candidate is eliminated and those votes are redistributed according to the second preference shown on them. If more than one candidate cannot get enough votes after the transfer of votes of the least popular candidate, that candidate is also eliminated (as they would be eliminated on the next round anyway.) The process repeats until all seats are filled either when the required number of candidates achieve the quota or until the number of remaining candidates matches the number of remaining seats. Although the counting process is complicated, voting is clear and most voters get at least one of their preferences elected.

HOW CAN I HELP PROMOTE PROPORTIONAL REPRESENTATION IN AMERICA?

In promoting PR for governmental elections, the easiest place to begin is at the local level. Usually all it takes is a change in a city or county charter in order to adopt proportional representation. City governments regularly form committees to review their charters, and these are excellent opportunities for citizens to raise the option of using PR. City officials are sometimes reluctant to lead the way in this kind of change, and they may even try to impede it. So in many areas citizens may often have to organize themselves and offer referendums in order to reform their city charter. In recent years, citizens have put PR referendums on the ballot in Cincinnati and San Francisco. Both efforts narrowly went down to defeat, garnering 45% and 43% of the vote respectively.

The state level is also ripe for change. In many states, PR could be adopted without any change in the state constitution. A reasonable approach would be to work for PR in one house, leaving the other house elected by districts. But given the difficulties in organizing a state-wide campaign, promoters of PR should not jump too quickly into a referendum process without first taking the time to lay the political groundwork for such an effort. PR proponents must form an effective state-wide organization and build coalitions with other political groups. A premature effort that leads to defeat may permanently turn some people off to PR. In order to build support, citizens might want to first work for the establishment of a state commission to examine the voting system. This could provide a valuable forum for promoting the idea of PR and familiarizing the public with this issue.

Litigation is another way to promote the use of PR. City and state suits over voting rights issues provide an opportunity to introduce PR as a possible legal remedy in these cases. Working with the litigants or filing “friend of the court” briefs could at the very least lead to its inclusion in discussions of remedies. In one case in Maryland, a judge opted for a PR remedy after an activist sent him a good article on PR.

Obviously, the adoption of PR for U.S. congressional elections is an important goal for the pro-PR movement. But change at this level will be difficult. Although there are no constitutional obstacles to using PR for U.S. House elections, there is congressional legislation that mandates single-member districts. You could join the effort to repeal this legislation and allow states to use PR. The Center for Voting and Democracy in Washington, D.C. developed plans for Georgia and North Carolina that demonstrate how easy it would be to create multi-member PR districts for U.S. House elections. Importantly, such plans would not require a constitutional amendment. All that would be needed is to repeal a 1967 federal law requiring single-member district elections for the House, and several bills have been introduced in Congress that would do just that.

Given the many advantages of PR, it is not surprising that the general worldwide trend during the last 100 years has been away from winner-take-all voting systems and toward various forms of PR. That trend continues even today. The vast majority of newer democracies in Eastern Europe ended up rejecting American-style plurality voting in favor of various forms of proportional or semi-proportional voting systems. Comparative studies of European countries have shown much higher voter turnout, and less apathy towards the process, when PR is used to elect officials at the highest levels of government.

Mexicans Rush Home For Voter ID Cards To Vote In Mexico’s 2012 Presidential Election

01:09 1/13/2012, A3P Admin, american voice, establishment news, American Third Position
An EGP News article says

During the last few weeks, caravans of Mexican immigrants living legally in the United States have been traveling to Tijuana and other border cities to apply for a Mexican voter identification card (credencial de elector), in some cases escorted by organizations hoping to get them to vote in Mexico’s upcoming presidential election. (Source)

Should you be required to show picture ID before you’re allowed to vote?

On December 23, 2011 the Justice Department blocked South Carolina’s new voter ID law. Attorney General Eric Holder spoke out against the law, saying that we should “resist the temptation to suppress certain votes in the hope of attaining electoral success.” DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz was even blunter, saying that voter ID laws are “essentially designed to rig an election.”

Democrats argue that voter ID laws are designed to disenfranchise poor black voters, the voters least likely to have photo ID and most likely to vote for Democrats. They’ve been referred to as “a return to the Jim Crow era,” Wasserman Schultz calling them “a full scale attack on the right to vote.”

Meanwhile, for Mexico’s voters

A voter registration card is required to vote in Mexico, and by law, can only be issued on Mexican soil by the Federal Electoral Institute (IFE), an autonomous, public organization that conducts federal elections. Without it, those living outside the country cannot cast an absentee ballot by mail.

The deadline to register to vote in Mexico’s 2012 Presidential Election by mail is Sunday, Jan. 15. The deadline does not apply to Mexican nationals who want to return to the country to vote.

Mexican Voter ID

What is a “Mexican National”

During the 1920’s Germany and France motivated their citizens, living abroad, to create a political force internationally by becoming citizens of their adopted countries without losing “National” status as a German or Frenchman. Thus the concept of legally being a “Mexican National” and a U.S. citizen.

Jim Picht of the Washington Times writes

“The Democratic position is that everyone in America should be able to vote with zero impediment. Voting should be made easy to the point of being costless in money and time. The argument is taken further: Not only should everyone be able to vote, everyone should vote.”

Everybody! No voter ID necessary!

Candidate Statement of Merlin Miller

Wrong For Our People

America, the greatest nation ever conceived, is now on the precipice and needs her patriots to come to the rescue. She has been betrayed by career politicians and a two party system that no longer serves the interests of the American people, but instead serves global special interests. America has also been betrayed by a mainstream media that no longer respects truth or righteousness, but instead promotes our social and moral decline. The global forces behind these betrayals are intent on destroying America, and sacrificing all that our forefathers built and that we hold dear – to establish, instead, a socialist new world order in which they will surreptitiously rule an unsuspecting, yet increasingly enslaved mass – “1984” revisited. The evidence is clear to those who seek out truths, historic and current.

These global elites have debauched our currency, involved us in unjust and undeclared wars, opened our borders to massive third world immigration, destroyed our production capabilities through government overregulation and imbalanced trade agreements, and subverted our rights and constitutional protections. Government and the military-industrial-banking-pharmaceutical complex are the only growth industries, and as the American middle class is being systematically wiped out, a police state is evolving. In less than fifty years, America’s national character has been dramatically altered. The overwhelming white, Christian majority (90% in the early 1960’s) is now 65% and predicted to be a minority within the next thirty years. To question this radical demographic assault against traditional America, or divisive and unfair “affirmative action” programs – is to be classified a “racist”. To question Israel’s excessive influence over America’s foreign policy or the Jewish dominance in media – is to be classified “anti-Semitic”. Our Republic has been turned upside down, and “cultural Marxism” and “political correctness” has silenced too many patriots for far too long. What can we do about it?

A new political party, the American Third Position (A3P), is stepping forward with honest and rational answers. During Ron Paul’s 2008 campaign events, and patriot meetings since, I was privileged to get to know several of the A3P’s future party leaders and came to respect their courage and vision. I share their most noble ideals and have been asked to head the party’s ticket for the 2012 Presidential campaign. I am honored and will do everything in my power to reach the American people and help restore America’s former greatness as a Republic. America has traditionally been the beacon for the rest of the world, not a ruthless interventionist in the affairs of other nations – and it is time we restored our traditions and America’s reputation. The world should emulate us, not fear and despise us.

As an Iowa native, West Point graduate, Army veteran, engineering manager, and award winning filmmaker, I was never interested in politics, but now am compelled to answer the call and serve my nation in its time of greatest need. I’ve been married to my wife for 37 years and we have four wonderful daughters, three of whom also graduated from West Point. We owe our progeny a future and can no longer rely on a system that has been corrupted to its core. Enter the fight with us – to take back our country!

Lawyer Defending South Carolina’s Voter ID Law Thinks DOJ Is Biased Against White People, Sues

Ryan J. Reilly | South Carolina officials plan to file suit against the federal government because the Justice Department stopped the state from implementing a voter ID law that the state’s own statistics showed would have a disparate impact on non-white voters. Fighting on their behalf will be a former DOJ official who claimed that the Civil Rights Division is opposed to protecting the civil rights of whites and who defended the Bush-era politicalization of the division by Bradley Schlozman as an effort to “diversify.”

South Carolina has hired former Voting Section Chief Christopher Coates, who defied DOJ’s instructions and testified before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights during the Republican-led probe into the infamous New Black Panther Party case, a spokesman for the South Carolina attorney general’s office told The State newspaper.

Former colleagues said that Coates had an ideological conversion after an African-American woman was chosen over him as deputy section chief in July of 2000. Schlozman, who was found to have hired lawyers for their conservative credentials and referred to liberals as “commies” and “mold spores,” called Coates a “true member of the team.”

Coates signed off on the New Black Panther Party case, which was just the fourth known voter intimidation case brought under Section 11(b) of the Voting Rights Act in its history, the second in defense of white voters (though, in the New Black Panther Party case, lawyers weren’t able to find any victims). The case became a political issue after most of the allegations were dropped, except against a member of the party who was holding a billy club. A DOJ Office of Professional Responsibility report found that the case was decided “based upon a good-faith assessment of the facts and the law” and found no evidence that race or partisan politics were a factor in the decision.

“The law would require voters to show a photo identification card issued by the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles or a U.S. military ID or a U.S. passport.

But last month, the Justice Department said the law would prevent black people from voting. It was the first voter ID law to be refused by the department in 20 years.” (Noelle Phillips, Political Wires)

South Carolina has also brought on former Solicitor General Paul Clement, a face well known to the justices on the Supreme Court — he argued a Texas redistricting case there just this week — where the case could ultimately end up. Legal observers expect that South Carolina will mount a constitutional challenge to Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act, which requires states with a history of racial discrimination like South Carolina to have their election laws precleared by officials in D.C.

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson said the suit would be filed in D.C. court in the “next week or two.” He was joined by other Republican leaders at a press conference on Tuesday, where Gov. Nikki Haley called the voter ID law a “very important and pressing issue,” though, when asked, she did not name any instances where voter fraud could have been prevented by a law requiring a DMV-issued photo ID. Haley argued that if pharmacies require photo ID to buy Sudafed, the state should be able to require photo ID to vote.

One is required to have an I.D. to purchase Sudafed or to drive an automobile. Wouldn’t these laws prevent black people from cold relief or driving? Why aren’t these I.D. requirements challenged? In fact, why aren’t all I.D. requirement laws challenged?

“What are you scared of?” Haley said, addressing critics of the proposal who point to statistics indicate that the law will have a disparate impact on minority (and typically Democratic-leaning) voters. “We’re not going to take the time to figure it out. This is common sense legislation.”

“The Department of Justice made the right decision on the facts and law when it denied Section 5 preclearance to South Carolina’s photo ID law,” Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law Executive Director Barbara Arnwine said in a statement. “We are confident that the D.C. Court will reach the same conclusion.” (Source)
